- 甲不开仓，财物耗散Traditional saying: on 甲 (Jiǎ) days, don't open the storehouse; it was said to make wealth drain away.
- 午不苫盖，屋主更张Traditional saying: on 午 (Wǔ, Horse) days, don't thatch a roof; it was said to make the house change hands.

Tai Sui (Year)
Tai Sui sits in the South for the year, opposing the North. Traditionally, almanacs advise against major construction, ground-breaking or burial in either direction until the next 立春 (Lichun).

Horn, one of the seven mansions of the Azure Dragon in the east; auspicious in the traditional count.
Lucky and unlucky hours
Yellow-path (黄道) hours are lucky and black-path (黑道) hours unlucky, by the traditional day-god cycle. ★ marks the noble-person hours for this day.
